This J/80 was dry sailed out of Ft. Adams in its prior life, so we had to add a few cleats for its new mooring life in Newport, and slip life in Naples Fl.
About Vee Jay ... J/80

     Hull number 1122 is a "French" J/80 produced by J Europe, Olonne sur Mer - France to an order from J Boats, Newport, RI.

     But during that time the J/80 hulls were built in Golddap, Poland, trucked to Gdynia, Poland, loaded on a boat in Antwerp to Boston, and shipped directly through U.S. Customs to Bristol, RI. There they were assembled with a US keel and mast.

     Apparently at no time ever
did this boat physically see France.

May 2016 -- Added another 1500 mile road trip ... now 6,000 miles in two years. Soon to be back in Newport Harbor.
